In the Press

The story is bigger than the pizza.

The Best Pizza Shop began as a way to teach people how to make better pizza at home. It has grown into a community-driven platform that uses pizza education, weekly giveaways, and fundraising to serve people and support organizations fighting hunger.

In August 2026, that story was featured by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and distributed nationally through Tribune Content Agency, allowing newspapers and media outlets across the United States to republish it.

Based in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, I’m available for interviews and features about home pizza making, content creation, community service, Slice Out Hunger, and building a purpose-driven media brand from a home kitchen.

Pizza with a Purpose

The story is bigger than the pizza

The Best Pizza Shop began as a way to document my pursuit of making better pizza at home. Over time, it became an opportunity to serve families, support local causes, teach other pizza makers, and bring people together.

Each week, I make and give away pizzas within my community, with a particular focus on people experiencing illness, grief, financial hardship, or another difficult season.

That mission has grown through Pizza with a Purpose, community events, educational videos, local collaborations, and fundraisers such as the Slice Out Hunger Summer Slice-a-Thon.

Community Impact

59 pizzas. Nine hours. $2,032 for hunger relief.

What began as an idea shared online became a sold-out community fundraiser with dozens of reserved pizzas, scheduled pickups, donated ingredients, volunteers, and support from families throughout the region.

By the end of the event, we had raised $2,032 for Slice Out Hunger, more than doubling the original fundraising goal.

Several families drove as far as an hour to participate. Local businesses donated ingredients, people shared the event online, and members of the community came together to support an organization fighting hunger through pizza.
